Terrible experience. Set up a unit rental. Filled out the paperwork and paid the first month. Started moving stuff into the storage unit. Then the owner calls and says she cant rent to me becuase my "references" didnt check out. I didnt give her any references. She didnt ask for any. When I asked she said she "has her methods." Its a small town, but i have a great reputation in this town. No one, personal or landlord or business would give me a bad reference. When I calmly asked her about it she totally flipped out and hung up on me. Was it the fact that I have a Black husband that freaked her out? Or some other kind of completely unfounded discrimination? Anyway, not worth it.
