Portions are large enough for the price and the wine glasses are more than decently filled which is great.
We will definitely come back.
FANTASTIC FOOD and SPECTACULAR SERVICE! We were traveling through VT, exhausted, tired, and re-routed multiple times due to construction, desperately seeking food. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:10 pm, walked into a cozy rustic environment that smelled heavenly and was greeted warmly. We asked if they were still serving- our server asked the chef and instantly seated us, never rushed us one bit! (Later we saw they close at 8pm!) Incredibly gracious, they served us a DELICIOUS TOP NOTCH EXQUISITE dinner (5 stars are not enough to describe) appetizers, drinks, the works. It's a super creative and inspired menu, our server was amazing and was exceptional at offering suggestions. Wine and beer offerings are also impressive. We had one of our best meals, an unexpected find of absolute treasure of a place. We met the owners, simply lovely, who came to check on our meals. Can you imagine this level of kindness toward strangers who show up after closing? WOW. We are ever so grateful! Thank you! PS- See you again SOON for Thursday International night!!

The place is neat. We were sitted next to the fireplace right after a cold day on the slopes and it was perfect.
The upside: Beautiful restaurant with a lovely, rustic atmosphere and great food.
We had a large post-Thanksgiving family meal at New England House and had a wonderful experience. The food, service, and ambiance were great. Additionally, the chef custom-made a vegan dish with local, seasonal mushrooms for one of us. We don't get out much because of small kids, but this meal was a reminder of what we are missing out on.
The bad side: AWFUL customer service. We waited 15 minutes just to be served, an hour for our food, and 20 minutes just for the check. It outweighed anything this restaurant had going for it and by the end, we just wanted to leave.
